This is my face after today, to see how we are surrounded and worse still even with “leaders” in government who still live very archaic ideas! Evolution is a fact maybe not this year or next, the approval of our rights will come! Here we go, evolving over time, towards a future that nobody can stop! #igualdad #lgbti

SPIRIT METAMORPHOSIS

70 years AGO, A DAY LIKE TODAY #AlbertHofmann

April 16, 1943, when Hofmann decided to reexamine it. While re-synthesizing LSD, he accidentally absorbed a small quantity through his fingertips[8] and fortuitously discovered its powerful effects. He described what he felt as being:

… affected by a remarkable restlessness, combined with a slight dizziness. At home I lay down and sank into a not unpleasant intoxicated[-]like condition, characterized by an extremely stimulated imagination. In a dreamlike state, with eyes closed (I found the daylight to be unpleasantly glaring), I perceived an uninterrupted stream of fantastic pictures, extraordinary shapes with intense, kaleidoscopic play of colors. After some two hours this condition faded away.[9]

Three days later, on April 19th, 1943, Hofmann intentionally ingested 250 micrograms of LSD. This day is now known as “Bicycle Day,” because after starting to feel the effects of the drug he rode home on a bike, and that became the first intentional acid trip.

Ukrainian Daredevil Hangs On From Great Heights

Ukrainian Daredevil Hangs On From Great Heights

Russia has proven to have an endless supply of daredevils who get a rush out of climbing sky-scraping towers and monstrous cranes, but one Ukrainian who goes by the pseudonym Mustang Wanted tempts gravity by not only scaling his lofty destination but by then hanging off of it. It’s hard to imagine how this hobby of his came about, but the fact that he has continued his high-risk stunts certainly says something about him and his desire for an adrenaline rush.

The lengths and risks that thrill-seekers like Mustang take never cease to amaze and frighten us. Despite his accomplished feats at such great heights, it makes one wonder whether they are to be publicly praised. It is a terribly dangerous “sport” that these youths engage in for us to marvel at from the comfort of our seats—the kind that doesn’t teeter back and forth on the edge of a building. Ultimately, it’s left to the viewer to determine how they choose to react.

There’s a video of Mustang hanging off a crane and doing pull-ups in Kiev, below, but as a forewarning: you may want to mute your speakers as there is loud and explicit language.

20+ Dramatic Shots of Lenticular Clouds

20+ Dramatic Shots of Lenticular Clouds

Alvord Desert, Oregon

Mostly seen above mountains or hills, lenticular clouds are extraordinary clouds that, due to their smooth, saucer-like shape, are often mistaken for UFOs. Lenticular clouds are formed when a current of moist air is forced upwards as it travels over a mountain, causing the moisture to condense and form a cloud.

They can appear as if they’re sitting stationary, hovering above our planet in an unusual fashion for hours or even days. That’s because the flow of moist air continually resupplies the cloud from the windward side even as water evaporates and vanishes from the leeward side.

Lenticular clouds are considered a rare sight, especially in areas where there are no mountains. For photographers, they’re an incredible treat, especially when shot at a particular time of day. When the sun sets, one can witness a spectacular display as the clouds are lit with brilliant colors, almost as if someone had used a paintbrush and painted the sky. As Adamus said about the photo above, “Surreal, otherworldly, foreboding…perhaps a once in a lifetime combination of colors, shapes and textures. This awesome lenticular cloud formation occurred at sunset over Oregon’s Alvord Desert in late December, ahead of an impending storm.”

Compiled for you today, here are 20+ shots of dramatic lenticular clouds.
